John attempts to drown a broken heart at a fancy hotel in downtown Chicago. Unknown to him, a famous Hollywood A-list star is in the same bar, herself finding the comfort in the arms of a bottle. She recruits John for a night of bar hopping, and conversation the likes of which he had never experienced. They end up back at her suite at the Peninsula, where they continue to drink, and share the scars that have been left by love and life. In their drunken haze, vulnerability doesn't exist, and nobody will ever know either of them the way they did, on that night, in that room. Love is hard to define, but they knew it when they felt it. Late night TV, and room service distract them from the coming morning, where this world they created, where only they exist, will have to come to an end.
